Hi Felix,

Why the Right Tasks Matter More Than More Tasks

Many high achievers take pride in having jam-packed schedules and lengthy to-do lists. Yet endless busyness can actually impede real progress. The true heart of productivity lies not in the number of tasks you churn through, but in choosing the most impactful ones—and doing them efficiently. When you focus on meaningful work, you channel your time and energy into efforts that align with your goals and vision, rather than just ticking off boxes.

Shifting from Busywork to Meaningful Work

  • Identify high-impact tasks first. Ask yourself: Which actions directly move me closer to my key objectives?

  • Eliminate or delegate minor tasks. If a task can’t be cut out entirely, consider assigning it to someone else or grouping it into a specific time block.

  • Protect your prime hours. Whenever possible, schedule your most challenging or creative tasks during the window of time when you tend to be at peak energy.

To put it simply: Efficiency Is Doing the Right Things Well

It’s easy to fill your day with low-value work that makes you feel busy yet gets you nowhere. Real productivity, however, emerges when you apply high standards and strong effort to a handful of crucial tasks. By eliminating distractions and narrowing your focus, you optimize both your output and the quality of what you produce. In the process, you also free up headspace for strategic thinking, problem-solving, and innovation—activities that might get neglected if you’re lost in a sea of trivial tasks.

Action Step

Write down your top three priorities for the day and commit to finishing them before tackling secondary tasks. This includes deferring or delegating anything that isn’t urgent or directly tied to your primary goals. By respecting these priorities—and preventing yourself from drifting into smaller chores—you’ll quickly notice an uptick in both your results and your sense of accomplishment.

Personal Note

I believe my key of success took time to develop and for me to become aware of. Being busy is quite a familiar thing to me. However, I did spend years to ‘the other side of life’. Think sweat lodge rituals, humming mantras and experimenting with singing bowls. However, the deepest desire was to connect, or actually reconnect, with the limitless space where creativity was and is invented, called silence. Meaning, my best ideas come up when I detach. That is where I get my priorities straight. Never did a sweatlodge and wish to know more about it? Drop me a line and I’ll spill the beans. I don’t usually start on these topics. Some people appreciate it, others react allergic to this stuff. But silence with the right intention (of sensitivity and vulnerability) gives more presence and connection in all your relationships, including sales, than even Brené Brown could ever imagine. (That’s a teaser).
Here it is, an ode to your mental energy.

Wishing you a focused, productive day,
